A Sneak Peak Inside an End-of-Life Pet Photography Session in Lexington, Kentucky

We never want to face the reality that our pet’s time on earth is limited much less book a professional end-of-life pet photography session with a local photographer. After all, our pets are part of our family.  We not only plan our vacations around them, but  stock up on their favorite treats, and celebrate their birthday with fun gifts.  When our fur babies face the inevitable end of their lives, whether expected or surprising, it’s an emotional time for us.

Hiring  a photographer for an end-of-life pet photography session might seem like the furthest thing on your mind.

But here are a few reasons why you might want to consider it.

Firstly, beautiful photographs of your pet’s  final moments let you preserve your precious memories of your pet’s life  These images are  a source of  comfort when you are grieving the final days (or death) of your pet.

Additionally, an end-of-life pet photo session captures your pet’s unique personality and unconditional love for you. His favorite toy, her sweet smile, and the touch of their soft fur. You can preserve these moments in a photo session.

Lastly, hiring a professional photographer ensures that these precious moments are captured beautifully. You have enough to worry about with your aging pet. Hiring a professional means letting them handle all the details so that you can focus on your pet! The right light, location, and composition. We take care of all of that.

Finally,  hiring a photographer for an end-of-life photo session is not just about capturing beautiful images but  celebrating your pet’s life.

What better way to keep their spirit alive than stunning artwork of your pet that you can treasure forever?

Cosmo’s Photography Session

Cosmo’s mom, Jessie contacted me after Cosmo was diagnosed with tumor near his trachea . At the time, the vet expected to live a few days. But during the session, I knew he had so much more life and love left. Cosmo was  so sweet and excited  especially when I had treats in my hand.

Jessie, Cosmo’s younger sister Phoebe, Jessie’s boyfriend, Tyler  and I met at two locations for their special family photo session-the Lexington Cemetery and the University of Kentucky’s Arboretum.  To this day, these photos warm my heart so much especially since Cosmo is still doing great 6 months later!
