Wiggly dogs welcome
Sessions are flexible and responsive, shaped around how your animal actually shows up that day.
We move at their pace. Whether that means slowing down, following curiosity, or allowing space to reset when energy runs high. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is forced.
Some animals are curious and energetic. Others are cautious, sensitive, or simply content to stay close. All of that is welcome here. I pay attention to how your animal responds in the moment and adapt gently, so they can remain comfortable throughout.
When animals can move, settle, and show up as they are, the moments that matter often appear right in the middle of it all.

When animals can move, settle, and show up as they are, the moments that matter often appear right in the middle of it all.
During sessions, I stay present and responsive to what’s happening in front of me. Sometimes that means stepping back and letting a moment unfold. Other times, it means engaging playfully to invite your dog’s attention.
That might look like a soft sound, a familiar word, or a quick, silly noise. or tasty treat to spark curiosity or bring out an expression you know well. These moments are brief and light, woven naturally into the flow of the session.
When you’re in the moment with your dog, those expressions can be easy to miss. My role is to notice them as they appear. Whether they arrive through quiet connection or a flash of playfulness.
Everything is guided by your animal’s comfort and personality. We follow their lead, adjusting as we go.
I’m always watching for the small, familiar things. The way your dog checks in with you, settles close, or lights up at a sound they recognize. These moments often pass quickly, but they say a lot about your relationship & the personality of your pet.
Some of what I notice is subtle. It could be a pause, a glance, or the way a body relaxes when it feels safe. Other moments are lighter and more playful. A curious tilt of the head, a spark of excitement, or a flash of personality that feels unmistakably them.
My focus is recognizing the moments as they appear. The expressions, gestures, and connections that feel ordinary now often become the ones people are most grateful to have preserved later.
It’s common to wonder how your dog will feel in front of the camera especially if they’re shy, energetic, older, or simply more comfortable doing their own thing. Those questions are part of caring deeply, and they’re always welcome.
There’s no expectation for your dog to behave a certain way or respond on cue. We work with who they are in the moment, adjusting the pace, energy, and approach so they can remain comfortable throughout.
Some sessions unfold quietly. Others include brief moments of playfulness or curiosity. Both are natural, and both are handled with patience and care.
These sessions are for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and stages of life. Shy dogs, sensitive dogs, energetic dogs, and older dogs.
You don’t need a dog who “listens well” or knows how to perform. We meet your animal where they are, and we work with what’s true in the moment.
Some sessions are quieter. Others are lighter and more playful. What matters most is that your dog feels comfortable enough to be themselves.
I offer a small number of session experiences designed to support different seasons, stories, and rhythms of life. All follow the same thoughtful, relationship-led approach.
Studio and outdoor sessions available.
Meant to celebrate your connections and the season.

I’d love to hear about the life you share with your dog. Its personality, your routines, the connection, and the moments you’re hoping to preserve. From there, we can talk through what a session might look like and whether it’s a good fit.
Do you photograph both families and dogs together?
Yes. Many of my sessions include both because for most families, their dog is part of the story. These sessions are relaxed and natural, allowing connection to unfold gently.
What if my dog doesn’t sit still?
That’s completely okay. Movement is part of their personality. I work patiently and slowly, creating space for authentic moments rather than forcing poses.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions take place outdoors around Lexington, Kentucky, or in carefully chosen locations that feel warm and natural. I’ll guide you through choosing the right setting. Indoor studio sessions are also available.
How far in advance should we book?
Most families reach out 4–8 weeks in advance, especially during fall and spring. If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to talk through timing.
