Here are the most common dog photography misconceptions people have regarding a professional pup photo session.
My camera will capture them at 1/1000 of a second and higher. Your dog doesn’t have to be calm or hold a sit or stay position to get great images. Plus, I have lots of tricks and tools to get your dog’s attention & adorable expression.
During our photo shoot with Jolene, her parents were worried that she wouldn’t behave since they adopted her from a shelter a month before our session. Her photographs turned out so well that I use them in my portfolio.
I actually prefer that even the most well-behaved dogs stay on a leash during our session. Thanks to the magic of Photoshop, I can remove leashes and (in most cases) collars. If you want action shots, we can use a long lead or plan our session in one of the many dog parks around Lexington.
One of the not-so-secret-secrets of dog photography is that 95% of the dog photographs you love on Instagram are on leashes. You don’t see them because they are removed in Photoshop.
Concern #3: My dog doesn’t like to be around other dogs or other people. I know all the hidden gems around central Kentucky and the perfect times to go when we have these places to ourselves. We can meet before our photo shoot to ensure your dog feels comfortable with this location and me! With the help of my telephoto lens, I can capture your dog at a comfortable distance away without stressing your dog.
Life is too short to not have beautiful images of your pup surrounded by the breathtaking vistas of Central Kentucky. These gorgeous images of you and your dog elevate your one-of-a-kind bond and give you a cherished keepsake that you keep forever. Even though your dog might not be able to tag along with you to work, a beautiful print on your desk won’t fail to bring a smile to your face & keep you calm to carry on until your next snuggle sesh.
